About

About the Nusery

Early Steps Day Nursery was registered in March 2013.  The nursery operates from St, Wilfrid’s Catholic Church Hall in Kennington, London.  The nursery opens Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year from 7:30am to 6:30pm.
We are registered to cater for a maximum of 36 children from birth to eight years.  The nursery receives funding for the provision of free early education sessions for children aged three and four years-old.   The setting operates across two rooms (i.e. baby room and toddler/pre-school room).  There is a spacious outdoor area which is accessible to all children throughout the day and provides a safe as well as stimulating environment for children to play and explore with a range of toys and games.  There are four cubicles of children’s toilet, one disable/ladies and one Men’s toilet.  The nursery has a multipurpose room which serve as a sleep room, a sensory room and computer room for the after school club.   In addition the nursery has an office, store, a staff room and a kitchen.  We are a community based nursery serving the local community and the children come from a range of cultures and nationalities which are reflected in our displays and range of activities around the setting.

We also offer the following programs

  • Breakfast Club
  • After School Club.
